Airbag repair

The damage forms of marine airbags can generally be divided into longitudinal cracks (cracks extending along the length direction of the airbag), transverse cracks (cracks extending along the circumference direction), and nail holes (including circular damage with a diameter of less than 10cm). The operation steps are as follows:

1) Mark out the repair scope as the boundary for polishing the surface. The repair scope should expand towards the periphery of the crack, without missing any hidden injuries. The expansion range varies depending on the airbag model and damage range, usually 18-20cm for a 3-layer airbag; 20-22cm for 4-layer; 22-24cm for 5 layers; The 6-layer is 24-26cm.

2) Polish and repair the surface of the part until the fiber lines are exposed, but do not damage the fiber lines.
